Leofenac-MR Tablet

Leofenac-MR Tablet is a combination of three medicines used in the treatment of muscular pain. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). It also relaxes the muscles and provides relief from stiffness or spasm.

Leofenac-MR Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms. You should take it as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by the doctor.

The most common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, nausea, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and weakness. If any of these side effects bother you or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects.

Before taking it, you should let your doctor know if you have a history of ulcer or bleeding in your stomach, high blood pressure, or have any trouble with your heart, kidneys, or liver. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting treatment. You should also avoid drinking alcohol while you are taking this medicine, as alcohol can cause excessive drowsiness.

Leofenac-MR Tablet treats muscle pain by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and reduces discomfort. Once you see some improvement, you can start doing therapy exercises (such as walking or breathing exercises) that will help you get your strength back more quickly. It is advisable to continue taking Leofenac-MR Tablet until your doctor advises you to stop.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Leofenac-MR Tablet is to be taken with food.

Leofenac-MR Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Paracetamol, Aceclofenac, and Tizanidine. Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer) and Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause fever and pain respectively. Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

• This medicine is most effective when taken along with proper rest and physical therapy.
• Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Leofenac-MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage.
• Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Leofenac-MR Tablet.
• Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.
