Zytak 25mg Injection contains ranitidine, a medicine which lowers stomach acid. It is usually prescribed for conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, gastritis and peptic ulcers. Ranitidine works by reducing the secretions of hydrochloric acid by the certain glands in the stomach. It helps relieve symptoms like indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, hoarseness and stomach pain.

Zytak 25mg Injection should be taken as advised by your doctor. The dose of the medication may be adjusted depending on the severity of your clinical symptoms. It is recommended to take this tablet 30 to 60 minutes before eating or drinking the food that worsens your heartburn and other related symptoms.

Ranitidine, the content of Zytak 25mg Injection, reduces acid secretion in the stomach by blocking a chemical called histamine; this chemical is responsible for stimulating the secretion of hydrochloric acid. The resulting lowering in the acidity in the organ alleviates symptoms like indigestion, acid reflux, stomach pain and heartburn.

Ranitidine is classed as a histamine H2-receptor antagonist or H2 receptor blocker for short. It blocks a chemical called histamine, which causes acid production in the stomach. This is achieved by competitively binding with the histamine receptors in the parietal cells (special cells in the stomach that produce hydrochloric acid). Thus the basal, stimulated, and nocturnal gastric acid production is reduced.

The medicine starts to work within 1 hour of taking it, and the effect lasts up to 12 hours. Note that this medicine does not entirely block acid production since there are other stimuli for producing HCL apart from histamine. This pharmaceutical effect enables ranitidine to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease and peptic ulcers. It controls acidity and prevents symptoms like heartburn and stomach pain.
