Triben- B Lotion

Triben- B Lotion is a topical application prescribed for fungal infections on the skin, such as ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot and vaginal thrush. This cream works by stopping the growth of the fungus causing the infection and blocking the chemicals that cause inflammation on the skin. It treats burning, swollen, itching and irritated skin.

This combination medicine contains two ingredients. The first is clotrimazole, an antifungal drug used for local therapy that stops fungus growth. The second is beclometasone, a synthetic corticosteroid that blocks inflammation-inducing chemicals and treats swollen and irritated skin.

Triben- B Lotion is meant for external use only. Check the labels and instructions before applying. Do not apply on cuts, wounds and burnt skin. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, ears or mouth. Follow your doctor’s instructions on the duration and dosage of this topical application.

The usage of Triben- B Lotion does not usually cause severe side effects. You may experience redness, dryness and swelling around the applied area, but it will resolve once the skin gets used to the medicine. Contact your doctor if you experience rare but serious symptoms like severe rash or intense pain in the applied area.

This medicine is considered safe for most people. However, speak with your doctor if you have the following conditions: hypersensitivity to either beclometasone or clotrimazole, eczema (skin conditions that cause dry and irritated skin), tuberculosis, glaucoma, diabetes, Cushing's syndrome (the overproduction of hormone cortisol), skin cancer, or other skin conditions.

Beclometasone is a hormone medicine prescribed for conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It is a synthetic corticosteroid used to treat symptoms such as itching, swelling and irritation. It works by preventing or blocking the skin cells from producing chemicals that cause inflammation. These chemicals can be triggered due to a variety of different factors. It also influences the immune cells and constricts the blood vessels to reduce swelling.

When combined, both the antifungal and the corticosteroid present in the Triben- B Lotion eliminate the fungal infection and reduce its effects on the skin by controlling the inflammation – all of which results in the speedy recovery of the affected area.
