Taurdin Plus 10mg/150mg Tablet is used in the treatment of acidity-related abdominal pain. It works effectively to reduce abdominal pain, bloating, discomfort and cramps by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and gut. It also neutralizes excessive acid in the stomach and relieves indigestion or heartburn.

Taurdin Plus 10mg/150mg Tablet is given by your doctor or nurse. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects are constipation, diarrhea, headache, weakness, and muscle pain. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Taurdin Plus 10mg/150mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Ranitidine. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving abdominal cramps and pain. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Quick tips

  • You will be administered Taurdin Plus 10mg/150mg Tablet to get relief from abdominal pain due to acidity.

  • Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.

  • Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Taurdin Plus 10mg/150mg Tablet.

  • Incorporate the folowing lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity:

    1. Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.
    2. Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.
    3. Lose weight if you are obese.
    4. If you are a smoker, consider giving up.
