Introduction To Stazol 50 Injection

Stazol 50 Injection is used in the treatment of hereditary angioedema. It prevents and decreases the episodes of symptoms such as swelling of the face, extremities, genitals, bowel wall, and throat.

Stazol 50 Injection can be taken with or without food. It should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so.

Taking this medicine may cause few common side effects such as edema (swelling of legs, ankle, and feet), fluid retention, and breast enlargement. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bothers you.

Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys. You should also tell your doctor all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult with their doctors before using the medicine.

How Stazol 50 Injection works

Stazol 50 Injection reduces the release of a chemical called bradykinin, that is responsible for causing breaking and leakage of blood vessels. This damage to blood vessels leads to sudden accumulation of fluids below the skin causing swelling (edema) as well as redness. Stazol 50 Injection blocks the action of bradykinin and treats angioedema.
