Sosodil 10mg Tablet

Sosodil 10mg Tablet is used to prevent chest pain (angina attacks). It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels so blood can flow more easily to the heart. These tablets will not treat an angina attack that has already begun. They may be also used to control heart failure.

Sosodil 10mg Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach. It is best taken at the same time every day. Your doctor will decide the dose and the number of times each day you should take them. You should take the medicine as it is prescribed for you and keep taking it, even if you feel well. If you stop taking it suddenly your risk of an angina attack will increase. Lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this drug work better.

You can develop tolerance to this medicine over time, which means that the same dose becomes less effective. You have to stick to a really specific dosing schedule to prevent this from happening.

The most common side effects of this medicine include headache and lightheadedness. These may disappear once you have got used to the medicine. If you are worried, or the symptoms do not go away, let your doctor know. Some of these can be reduced by taking painkillers, drinking plenty of fluids, and avoiding alcohol. Alcohol may increase some side effects (dizziness, drowsiness, feeling light-headed, or fainting). Medical tests (such as blood pressure) may be required to monitor your progress and check for side effects.

Sosodil 10mg Tablet reduces your risk of getting heart-related chest pain (angina attack). It does not treat an angina attack that has already begun and should not be used for this purpose. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels in the heart. This makes it easier for blood to flow to the heart, so it gets more oxygen. This medicine thus helps to increase your ability to exercise and go about your daily life more easily and confidently. It should be taken regularly to be effective.

Controlling Heart failure
Heart failure means your heart is weak and cannot pump enough blood to your lungs and the rest of your body. The most common symptoms are breathlessness, tiredness, and swelling in your legs, ankles, abdomen, and other parts of your body. Sosodil 10mg Tablet makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body and is, therefore, an effective treatment for heart failure.

This medicine will help relieve your symptoms, making you feel better and more energetic. You should make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthily and keeping active) to help this medicine be effective. Take it regularly and keep taking it even if you feel better.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Common side effects of Cardicap

• Headache

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sosodil 10mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Sosodil 10mg Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain).

• Eat healthy (low-fat, high-fiber, low-sodium diet), quit smoking, increase your physical activity, watch your weight and reduce stress.

• Sosodil 10mg Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires concentration until you know how it affects you.

• Do not consume alcohol while taking Sosodil 10mg Tablet as it may cause increased dizziness.

• It may cause headaches which usually go away after a few days of continued treatment. Inform your doctor if it persists.

• You may develop tolerance to Sosodil 10mg Tablet with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule to avoid this.

• Stop taking medications (prescribed for erectile dysfunction) like sildenafil or tadalafil while on treatment with Sosodil 10mg Tablet as it may cause low blood pressure.
