Silvasia-C 15gm Cream

Silvasia-C 15gm Cream is a combination medicine that is used to treat burn wounds. Its antiseptic property prevents infections and protects the skin to speeds up the healing.

Silvasia-C 15gm Cream is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands. Wash your hands before and after applying the medicine. If it gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina rinse with water. It may take several days to weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. The course of the treatment should be completed to ensure better efficacy of the medicine. If your condition does not improve or gets worse, you should talk to your doctor.

This is usually a safe medicine, however, it may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and self-limiting. Serious side effects are rare. You must consult the doctor if you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.).

Before taking this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same disease or other diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use this medicine with proper consultation and caution. If you are a known allergic to the medicine, you must refrain from using this medicine. This promotes quick healing of the burns. Apply to the affected areas one or two times a day. Continue using it as directed by the doctor to get maximum benefit.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Silvasia-C 15gm Cream is a combination of two antibiotics: Chlorhexidine Gluconate and Silver Sulfadiazine. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant which works by binding strongly with skin. It kills infectious microorganisms and effectively cleans out cuts, wounds and burns to prevent them from getting infected. Silver Sulfadiazine is an antibiotic. It stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a vitamin required for bacterial multiplication.

• Clean the wound and then apply the cream to the affected area using a sterile gloved hand or a sterile spatula.
• Apply it once or twice daily and re-apply to any areas from which it gets removed due to activity. Burn areas should be covered with the cream at all times.
• It may cause minor burning, stinging or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
• Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas.
