Parasafe T Tablet is a combination medicine (paracetamol and tramadol) for pain relief. It is used to treat moderate-severe pain in cases such as joint pain, muscle pain, toothache, and severe injuries.

It consists of two ingredients: paracetamol and tramadol. Paracetamol (non-narcotic analgesic) reduces pain and fever, while tramadol (narcotic analgesic) directly acts on the nervous system to block pain signals. Combined, both provide a quick but strong pain-relieving effect for a long duration.

Parasafe T Tablet contains a narcotic medicine, so it should be taken strictly as your doctor advises. Take them as a whole, do not crush or chew the tablet. Follow the correct dosage as per the prescription, and do not compensate for missed doses.

Tramadol is a centrally-acting synthetic analgesic and it relieves pain in two ways: first, It binds to the µ-opioid receptors in the nervous system. Second, It inhibits/blocks (weakly) reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin

Tramadol and morphine

Opioids act on its opioid receptors to produce effects similar to morphine. In medicine, they are primarily used for pain relief. Tramadol is a weak opioid agonist, which means it is not as strong of a pain-killer as morphine, a major analgesic drug, an opium alkaloid and a potent agonist.

Morphine has additional pharmacologic effects like euphoria and respiratory depression, which makes it a far more dangerous medication than Tramadol.
