Otidrop Ear Drop is a medicine used to treat eye infection. It works by killing and inhibiting the growth of microorganisms in the eyes. This relieves discomfort, itching, irritation, and pain in the eyes.

Otidrop Ear Drop is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after applying the medicine. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid. Use it regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need, it will not clear your condition faster and may only increase the risk of side effects.

The medicine is generally well-tolerated with little or no side effects. However, it may cause irritation and burning sensation immediately following application. These are temporary and usually subside on their own. Inform your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. Do not wear contact lenses while using it. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing pain sensation. Beclometasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins.

• Otidrop Ear Drop should be used as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor.

• Finish the prescribed dose even if you feel better as stopping the treatment earlier can reverse the symptoms.

• Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.

• Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.

• It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
