Ocurest AH Eye Drop is a prescription medicine used to treat allergic diseases of the eye. It relieves redness and swelling of the eye and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort.

Ocurest AH Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water.

How to use Ocurest AH Eye Drop

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

How Ocurest AH Eye Drop works

Ocurest AH Eye Drop is a combination of four medicines: Phenylephrine, Naphazoline, Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Menthol which relieve eye itching/discomfort caused by allergies. Phenylephrine and Naphazoline are decongestants. They work by narrowing blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling). Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a cold sensation and relieves eye irritation.

  • Ocurest AH Eye Drop is prescribed for the treatment of allergic eye disease.
  • Ocurest AH Eye Drop should usually be used twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
  • To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out.
  • Do not wear contact lens until your symptoms are completely gone.
