Boric Acid has antibiotic properties that kill infection-causing microorganisms. It also relieves eye irritation. Menthol is an organic compound, extracted from peppermint oil. It activates the cold sensing chemical messenger, which gives a cooling effect. Camphor also provides a cooling effect. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning, also moisten the eyes. Borax has an antiseptic and antifungal (act against fungi) property, thus works as a preservative when added to Napzol Plus Eye Drop. This is how it treats allergic eye diseases.
