Mecbli SR Tablet

Mecbli SR Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of vertigo. It prevents the feeling of nausea, vomiting, light-headedness and other symptoms of vertigo.

Mecbli SR Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, dryness in the mouth, headache, and fatigue. These are usually mild and disappear after a short time. Consult your doctor if they persist. This medicine may also cause sleepiness and drowsiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.

Vertigo means a spinning sensation or dizziness that is triggered due to frequent movement. It can happen due to many reasons but it may also occur without any underlying disease. You may experience spinning sensation (vertigo), nausea or vomiting as a result of this condition. Mecbli SR Tablet helps treat these symptoms effectively. If you feel dizzy while getting up from the bed, sit for a while and then rise slowly to avoid having an accidental fall.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mecbli SR Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Mecbli SR Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Meclizine and Folic Acid. Meclizine is an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby controlling nausea, vomiting and light- headedness in vertigo. Folic acid provides essential nutrients.

• You have been prescribed Mecbli SR Tablet to relieve vertigo (dizziness) and feeling of nausea, vomiting associated with it.
• Take it at the same time each day to maintain a steady amount of the medicine in your body.
• Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
• Do not take it for longer than 7 days without consulting your doctor.
• Mecbli SR Tablet can only decrease the number and severity of attacks but may not completely stop them.
• Before taking Mecbli SR Tablet inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcer or asthma.
