Knogle 200IU Nasal Spray is a medicine used for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It makes the bones stronger and lowers the risk of fractures. It may also be used for bone pain associated with Paget's disease.

Knogle 200IU Nasal Spray should be used as you have been advised by your doctor. Normally you should blow your nose gently before using it, keep one nostril closed while applying the medicine into the other, and then sniff hard to make sure it reaches deep into the nose. Then repeat for the other nostril. You should take adequate supplements of calcium and vitamin D while on the treatment of this medicine to make it more effective.

The most common side effects of this medicine include runny nose, nose bleed, back pain, joint pain, headache, and other nose symptoms such as itching, irritation, and discomfort. These are usually mild but if they bother you or do not go away, your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing them.

To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult with their doctors before taking the medicine.

Paget’s disease is a condition that disrupts the replacement of old bone tissue with new bone tissue. Knogle 200IU Nasal Spray decreases the bone degeneration and helps in regeneration of healthy bone tissue. You can help improve the strength of your bones by doing regular exercise (especially weight-bearing exercise), eating healthy foods containing calcium and Vitamin D and reducing your consumption of alcohol and tobacco. Supplements of calcium and Vitamin D3 are also effective.

• You have been prescribed Knogle 200IU Nasal Spray to make your bones stronger, and lower the risk of fractures.
• It is used in women with osteoporosis who have undergone menopause.
• It may cause temporary dizziness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
• Unopened bottles should be stored in the refrigerator. Once opened, they should be stored at room temperature for up to 35 days.
• Stop using it and inform your doctor if you get any nosebleeds or notice any ulceration inside your nose.
• Discontinue Knogle 200IU Nasal Spray and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
