Ketomar Ophthalmic Solution is a medicine used in the treatment of post-operative eye pain and inflammation. It works by killing microorganisms that cause the infection. It also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that make eyes red, swollen, and itchy.

This medicine works by decreasing the production of certain chemicals that cause pain and swelling around the eyes. Ketomar Ophthalmic Solution also helps prevent infection after eye surgery. You might need to use Ketomar Ophthalmic Solution twice a day for at least 14 days after surgery or use it as prescribed to get the most benefit.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Ketomar Ophthalmic Solution is a combination of two medicines: Gatifloxacin and Ketorolac which treat infections. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

• Ketomar Ophthalmic Solution must be used as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor.
• If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.
• Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
• Ketomar Ophthalmic Solution might cause blurring of vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
