How Dexapin C Eye Drop works
Dexapin C Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, Chloramphenicol and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relax the muscles in your eye. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

- Do not wear contact lenses during treatment and for 24 hours after your last dose.
- The eye drops should be discarded 4 weeks after the first opening.
- Inform your doctor if you have been told you have a higher than normal pressure in your eye, or if you have glaucoma.
- Dexapin C Eye Drop may cause blurred vision which may last for some time. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive and before you use tools or machines.
