Cyclenorm-E 0.01mg Tablet is a type of female hormone (estrogen). This is a type of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) that is used to treat symptoms associated with menopause (hot flushes, vaginal dryness, and itching), estrogen deficiency, irregular periods, and thinning of bones (osteoporosis).

In some cases, Cyclenorm-E 0.01mg Tablet is also used to treat breast cancer and prostate cancer along with other anticancer medicines. The medicine is strictly to be administered by a healthcare professional. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. If you have missed a dose, get it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment. The treatment should not be stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor as this may affect the potency of this medicine.

The most common side effects of this HRT are headaches, nausea, breast pain, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, abdominal cramps, vomiting, and hair loss. Some of the warning signs and symptoms that need immediate medical attention are breast lumps, unusual vaginal bleeding, dizziness and faintness, severe headaches, chest pain, shortness of breath, pains in your legs, etc.

Before taking this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines for the same disease or other diseases. Before you initiate with this HRT, you must consult the doctor if you have a history of unexplained vaginal bleeding or if you have ever had a blood clot in your legs or your lungs. Osteoporosis is a common condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and more likely to break. It often occurs in women after menopause. Cyclenorm-E 0.01mg Tablet helps maintain bone density and reduces your risk of breaking a bone. You should use this medicine as it is prescribed, and for as long as it is prescribed by your doctor.

You can help improve the strength of your bones by doing regular exercise (especially weight-bearing exercise), eating healthy foods containing calcium and Vitamin D, and reducing your consumption of alcohol and tobacco. Supplements of calcium and Vitamin D3 are also effective.

Treatment of Prostate cancer
The prostate gland is a small walnut-sized gland that produces a fluid called seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperms in males. The most common symptom of prostate cancer is difficulty with urination, but sometimes there are no symptoms at all. Cyclenorm-E 0.01mg Tablet decreases or stops the growth of cancer cells by decreasing the amount of testosterone (natural hormone in males) in men. This also relieves difficulty in passing urine and makes it easier for you to urinate.

Treatment of Breast cancer
Cyclenorm-E 0.01mg Tablet relieves the symptoms of breast cancer such as breast lumps, bloody discharge from the nipple or changes in the shape or texture of the breast. It works by altering the production of those hormones in the body that are essential for the growth and spread of breast cancer. It may also interact with other hormones or have a direct effect on cancer to stop its growth. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self- administered. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

In women undergoing menopause, it works by fulfilling the deficiency of estrogen hormone, thereby preventing symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats and mood swings.

• Cyclenorm-E 0.01mg Tablet is used as a part of hormone replacement therapy in older women who are going through menopause or in younger women whose ovaries have not developed properly.
• It may also be used to treat prostate cancer in men and to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
• You may experience menstrual irregularities such as spotting or bleeding between menstrual periods or missed periods. Consult your doctor if this persists.
• Ensure that you undergo regular breast screening (for presence of lumps or any abnormal changes) and cervical smear test while taking this medicine.
• Stop taking this medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, severe headache, or changes in vision. These could be symptoms of a blood clot in a vein.
