Costrim V Tablet is a combination medicine used for the syndromic treatment of vaginal discharge. It works by stopping the growth of microorganisms and killing the existing ones that cause the infection.

Costrim V Tablet is to be used as per the dose and suggested by your doctor. This medicine is only for vaginal use. You must wash your hands before and after using it. It is best to use this at bedtime regularly to get the most benefit. If there is any accidental exposure of the medicine to the eyes or mouth, you must wash immediately. For better efficacy of the medicine, the course of the treatment should be completed even if you feel better. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.

Costrim V Tablet may lead to a few common side effects like mild irritation and burning sensation at the application site. If these side effects do not improve with time or worsen, inform your doctor. In case of any allergic reactions (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath), inform your doctor immediately.

Before using it, tell your doctor if you have an underlying disease or are taking medicines for any health condition. The medicines that are used externally usually do not get affected by other medicines, however, you should let your doctor know if you are taking any medicines to ensure safety. • Application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness)

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the ointment. Wash your hands after applying.

Costrim V Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tinidazole and Clotrimazole. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.

• Costrim V Tablet is prescribed for the syndromic treatment of vaginal discharge.
• Insert Costrim V Tablet into the vagina usually at night before going to bed. Strictly follow your doctor's advice.
• It can damage condoms and diaphragms and make them ineffective at preventing pregnancy. Ask your doctor about other suitable methods of preventing pregnancy.
• It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
• Inform your doctor if your condition does not get improved within 3 days of taking the medicine.
