Adsolv Ear Drop has a medicine used to treat pain in the ear. It softens the hardened wax in the ear. It provides relief from the pain due to hardened wax.

Adsolv Ear Drop is to be used only in the affected ear in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not use more or for a longer duration than the doctor has prescribed.

How to use Adsolv Ear Drop

How Adsolv Ear Drop works

Adsolv Ear Drop is a combination of four medicines: Paradichlorobenzene, Chlorbutol, Turpentine Oil and Lidocaine. Paradichlorobenzene works by softening and assisting the removal of hardened ear wax. Chlorbutol is a preservative. Turpentine Oil causes warmth and redness which can help relieve pain in the ear. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain.

  • Adsolv Ear Drop is used to soften ear wax and to ease pain and other discomfort associated with it.
  • The best time to use this medicine is before you go to bed.
  • Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear.
  • To make sure that the right amount of medication is given, and to avoid touching the ear with the dropper, have another person give the drops if possible.
  • Never put cotton bud or anything else in your ear to try and clear the wax yourself.
  • Make sure not to use the open bottle for more than 4 weeks.
