Introduction To Phenylephrine + Tropicamide
Phenylephrine + Tropicamide is used for examination of the eye for detection of any eye disease. It acts by enlarging the pupil of the eyes and helps the doctor visualize the eye more closely.
Phenylephrine + Tropicamide is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Refrain from touching the tip of the dropper to any surface to avoid contaminating the eye drops.
Using a Phenylephrine + Tropicamide can make your eyes more sensitive to light. Thus, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from sunlight and other bright lights. The common side effects include pain, stinging, blurring of the vision, photophobia, and allergic reaction. Usually, these symptoms resolve quickly.
However, if the symptoms persist or get worse, contact your doctor. It is not advised to drive after using this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of the vision and may affect your ability to drive.

Phenylephrine + Tropicamide is a medicine that helps to increase the size of the pupil of the
eye so that eye examinations can be carried out thoroughly. Phenylephrine + Tropicamide also
gives relief from eye pain by relaxing the eye muscles. This medication starts
to work in minutes, and its effect usually lasts 24 hours or sometimes longer.
It is advisable to inform your doctor if you continue to have blurred vision,
sensitivity to light, or dilated (increase in size) pupils several days after
your examination.

How to use Phenylephrine + Tropicamide
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

- If you are using any other eye drops or ointments, leave at least five minutes between applying each one.
- Inform your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any eye drops.
