Mefenamic Acid + Tizanidine is a medicine used in the treatment of abdominal cramps. It relaxes the muscles in the stomach or intestine and stops sudden muscle contractions, thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.
Mefenamic Acid + Tizanidine should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Take it in the dose and duration as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by the doctor.
The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, loss of appetite, sleepiness, weakness, and dryness in mouth. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing them.

How Mefenamic Acid + Tizanidine works

- It is best to take it when the first sign of pain occurs.
- Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
- If you get diarrhea while taking this medicine, consult your doctor immediately.
- Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
- Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Mefenamic Acid + Tizanidine.
