Lidocaine + Sucralfate is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of piles. It relieves redness, itching, swelling, irritation, and promotes healing of piles. It also decreases the sensation of pain by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain.

Lidocaine + Sucralfate is for rectal route only. Use it in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Use it regularly to get maximum benefits from the medicine. Do not apply too much or too often. If you apply a large amount, your body may absorb too much of the medicine and cause some side effects. On application, it may cause numbness or application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness. These are temporary and usually resolve with time. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration or get worse. Avoid direct contact with your eyes or mouth. In the case of direct contact, wash them thoroughly with plenty of water.

• Lidocaine + Sucralfate is for administration into the back passage (rectum). It must not be taken by mouth.
• Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor, as that can increase the chances of side effects.
• Use the applicator provided to insert a measured dose of cream into your back passage.
• Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
• Inform your doctor if you get any signs of infection during treatment with this medicine.
