Diloxanide + Simethicone + Tinidazole is a combination medicine used in the treatment of diarrhea. It kills diarrhea-causing bacteria. It also manages the symptoms of diarrhea such as stomach pain, cramps, loose stools and helps in easy passage of gas.

Diloxanide + Simethicone + Tinidazole is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. This medicine may also cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness.

Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have kidney diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.

Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

• You have been prescribed Diloxanide + Simethicone + Tinidazole for the treatment of diarrhea.
• Diarrhea can cause water loss and electrolyte imbalance. Drink plenty of fluids especially ORS (oral rehydration solution) to help keep you hydrated.
• Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
• Do not use Diloxanide + Simethicone + Tinidazole if you have blood in your stool or if you are severely constipated.
