Chlorpheniramine Maleate (NA) + Diethylcarbamazine (NA) + Guaifenesin is a combination medicine that is used in the treatment of parasitic infections. It works by decreasing the muscular activity and paralysing the worms. It also increases the stickiness of mucus, thereby helping in its removal from the airways.

Chlorpheniramine Maleate (NA) + Diethylcarbamazine (NA) + Guaifenesin is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects are nausea, loss of appetite, headache, and allergic reactions. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. • You have been prescribed Chlorpheniramine Maleate (NA) + Diethylcarbamazine (NA) + Guaifenesin to treat a variety of parasitic worm infections.

• Your doctor may monitor your blood counts and liver function before you start taking this medicine and regularly throughout your treatment.

• Avoid being near people who are sick or have infections. Inform your doctor if you develop signs of infection.

• Always wash your hands:

  1. After using the toilet.
  2. Before, during, and after preparing food.
  3. Before eating food.
  4. Before and after caring for a person who is sick.
  5. After touching an animal or animal waste.

• Cook food to its recommended internal temperature.

• Always boil your water to make it safe to drink.
